The rain continued the whole night and most of the morning, still a few showers in the early afternoon and then it finally got better... It seems it was even much worse in many areas a bit more inland, so staying here was a good choice. In fact, despite the rain we had a really nice day. We got up around 8.30 instead of the usual 6am, had a long relax breakfast and good coffee, played some games. When the rain seemed better we tried to go for some exploration, which was enough as a sign for the rain to increase again. So we waited a bit more, had an early lunch, and then did part 1 of our exploration.
When the rain came in again, we were just getting back to the guest house, fantastic timing for another coffee. Hey, isn't that the perfect thing to do on a rainy day!? Finally, we had the chance for exploration part 2 and this time it seemed - it still does now, in the evening - as if the worst part of the rains is over. So we had some good time cycling around the area and fully appreciating it. This place is really nice, it's different, special, authentic; we've been fortunate to come here and stay for a day. We enjoyed the people, the scenery, the buffaloes, the hornbills, everything except... the sandflies.
Here's today's story, in pictures.

First beach of the day, after a short hilly ride, with still very heavy clouds in the distance. |
|
A fishing village, with the nets (fishing cages) and buoys to find the cages back (once they're in the water of course). They use many different colours, I guess to recognise whose buoy/cage it is. |

Collecting the catch of the day |

Beach number 2 for today, after the weather had stabilised a bit more |
|
Luckily there was a clear sign to the beach entrance... |
|
Although, otherwise they would have shown us the way for sure |

A mangrove tree |

For the first time in more than a day, we get to see the sun! |
