Camping becoming a habit

If there would be something like a repeat button, it would have been tempting to use it yesterday. However, what we had today was "repeat with improvements". If yesterday was WOW, then today was double WOW. The road (we cycled mostly the 3282) was even nicer, we had a little bit of pleasant unsealed road, rolling hills that were gentle enough to enjoy, super light traffic, friendly and attractive villages, lakes, rivers, mountains, temples, ...
It doesn't get much more typically Thai than this for a coffee break location

The bar passing by. Drinks anyone?
While the scenery was beautiful yesterday, it was gorgeous today. The mountains more impressive and nearer, and a lot of variation. We had it all: many different kinds of palm, a bit of rubber, some teak. Sugarcane still (a lot) and cassava too, but add to that banana, dragon fruit, pineapple (yes, it was back), papaya, various citrus kinds, mango trees, the works! And we ended with a forested hill, first up and then nicely downhill to our destination for today.
Oops, seems this bar is empty already...
So hard to catch the beauty of this place in pictures...

A typical view on the "3282"
We found another nice place to pitch our tent, again besides a lake. There are some hot springs in this place (Samorthong hot springs), and it has a camp site. We're the only campers here, and it seems like this place will be better than yesterday's. That one, even though the location was great, was not such a success in the end. The food was way too expensive, the people not that friendly, the TV in the restaurant area stayed on all night and was really disturbing, the entire facilities were actually not in good shape; it was a run-down messy place, not in the least the one bathroom... So we did not sleep well at all, let's hope it will be better tonight!
